Here at The Helping Hands Group we pride ourselves on providing highly trained, caring and professional staff to support you to live in your home.

All staff receive training which includes:

      • Communicate effectively
      • Infection control
      • Learning disabilities awareness
      • Mental Capacity Act
      • Medicine management
      • Person Centred support
      • Safeguarding vulnerable adults
      • Fire, Health and safety
      • Eating and drinking

In addition we also provide as and when necessary:

  • Epilepsy awareness
  • Admin of Buccal midazolam
  • Gastronomy feeds/Tube care
  • Autism awareness
  • MAPA (Management of Potential or Actual Aggression
  • Makaton
  • Health and social care levels 2/3

To name but a few……

Each individual will receive a package that is designed around them, ensuring a person centred approach at all times.

This could include some or all of the following areas:

    • Managing your budget/finances
    • Building on existing skills
    • Learning  new skills to enable you to live as independently as possible
    • Accessing the community
    • Carrying out chores around your home
    • Liaising with other professionals
    • Support to attend medical and other appointments
    • Helping you to live your life in a way that you want to live it
    • Act as an interpreter if you are unable to communicate your needs/wishes effectively

We will do this by always having the individual concerned at the centre of all decision making processes to ensure that you live your life to its full potential.


In addition to supporting you in any way that is required we will also keep extensive records to evidence what we do on a day to day basis.

This includes:

    • Baseline assessments so we can see what areas need developing.
    • On-going assessments so we can see where you have progressed and what direction to aim for next.
    • Bi-annual reports so that we can evidence to the funding authority what we have been working on, what has been achieved and what we are aiming for in the future.
