The Helping Hands Group took the recent nice weather as an opportunity to celebrate their 10 year anniversary.
Spread over 2 days our Summer Garden Party saw all 3 centres come together for the very first time.
It was an opportunity for staff and individuals to see each other for the first time for over a year as well as meeting some new faces.
Group Director Suzanne Gilby said "This isn't a job, it's a vocation, it's a way of life. Covid has brought so many issues to us over the last 12 months so to be able to actually have this Garden Party (keeping in line with government guidelines) was absolutely fantastic."
"Our sensory garden in Wisbech has recently been completed and it was time for our individuals across the board to come and benefit from the fantastic space, and that they did! I saw so many happy faces and it really did hit home to me just how important our jobs are, our creativity, determination and hard work allows the individuals we support to experience new opportunities, progress in life and to feel safe, happy and content... You tell me another job which offers such satisfaction?!"

The 2 day event has gone down so well that Suzanne now wants to make this an annual event which will give everyone something to look forward to year in year out.
