Some areas of the curriculum are delivered via accredited courses such as:

ASDAN - Personal Progress

Education sessions are delivered by Session Co-ordinators and supported by learning support assistants trained to the highest standards. They are overseen by our Director Suzanne Gilby who has over 30 years experience within this field (BPhil – Professional Studies (MSI).

After referral, an initial assessment will be carried out to enable the individual to decide what experience would suit them best. This will include suggested support levels required to enable each individual to reach their full potential.

Likes/Dislikes and motivating factors will also be taken into consideration prior to a timetable of activities being designed.

Session plans are in place for all sessions with the Session Co-ordinator completing baseline/ongoing assessments to enable them to record each persons individual progress.

This will also assist in the setting of SMART targets:

S - Specific
M - Measurable
A - Achievable
R - Realistic
T - Timely

Annual reports are written and sent to all interested parties to show the progress made and suggested aims for the future.

A yearly review will enable everyone, including the person where possible, to sit together and agree on future avenues for achievement.

People will not be restricted due to their disabilities. Each and every one will be given the same opportunities to develop as an individual within a healthy, fun, motivating and safe environment.
